You can touch rare deep-sea creatures and watch their lives.
There are many rare creatures that can only be seen for a short period of time because many deep-sea creatures are difficult to breed for long periods.
Every winter, the Sunshine Aquarium challenges the collection of deep-sea creatures in winter and displays them in special aquariums. Depending on the collection situation, rare creatures will be exhibited.
In addition, a frozen specimen of sharks living in the deep sea (Frilled Shark and Futotsuno-same and more) and an event of touching a Giant Isopod, sea cucumber, and some rare shrimp in a cold water tank of about 10 degrees (12:15- / 15:15-: about 30 minutes each / 300 yen) / Capacity system) is also performed.
There is also an experiment to reproduce the water pressure in the deep sea (simulate depth 100 to 1000m) on Every Saturday / Holiday / 13: 30 ~.
and you can watch movie at deep-sea that taken by underwater drone (DIVE unit 300) at the first time to using by their breeding staff. (Commentary in Japanese from 13:30 on Sunday).
At this Exhibition, you can enjoy learning by seeing and touching deep-sea creatures.
The shop "Aqua Pocket" sells limited curry "SHINKAI Curry" (594 yen), which uses powder of Giant Isopod, and also sells original products centered on Frilled Shark.
